During the acute phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, emergency rooms proved inadequate to deal with this health emergency. Therefore, our intervention included a pre-triage screening area to receive and refer patients in a safer way. The facility covers a total area of 630 square metres and consists of a triage area, a waiting room, three examination rooms and a brief intensive observation area with 9 beds.
